Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our motel. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an excellent experience from check-in to check-out, maintaining property cleanliness, managing reservations, and handling payments. This role is ideal for an older couple who is highly organized, customer-service oriented, and able to manage both the front and back of the house efficiently. Please note, we are looking for candidates without pets, who do not smoke, and do not have children living with them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Office Management:
• Take reservations over the phone and handle online bookings.
• Assist with guest check-ins and check-outs, providing exceptional customer service.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Guest Services:
• Address and solve guest concerns, including room-related issues.
• Provide assistance with local information and motel amenities.
• Property Upkeep:
• Ensure rooms are cleaned to a high standard, including laundry duties.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the motel grounds, office, entrance, and parking lot.
• Oversee the preparation and clean-up of daily breakfast services.
• Financial Management:
• Handle guest payments, process deposits, and ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in hospitality, motel or hotel management preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
• Willingness to live on-site and be available as needed.
• Ideal candidates are an older couple without pets, who do not smoke, and do not have children living with them.
