Cricket Farm General Labor Position - First Shift

About Top Hat Cricket Farm

Top Hat Cricket Farm is one of the Nation’s largest commercial wholesale cricket farms. Our third-generation family owned farm supplies top quality crickets to the feeder insect market. Some of our largest vendors are Pet Supplies Plus and Josh’s frogs.

We are looking for general labor help in multiple departments including; Packing/Shipping, box barn, worm packing and production.

Job Duties

Pack/Ship

• Packs crickets and worms into boxes to send to customers

Box barn

• Prepare all packing material used to ship crickets

Worm Packing

• Volume count worms and pack them into the appropriate containers

Provide care for worms

Production

• Responsible for general care of our crickets
• Feeding, watering, cleaning/sanitizing supplies and cages

Qualifications

• Candidate must have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to work in other areas of the farm as needed.
• Work well in a team setting.
• Work on their feet for extended periods.
• Work in a fast paced environment.
• Be able to keep a clean, organized and sanitary workspace.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on a given task.
• Follow all company rules and policies.

Experience

• No prior experience necessary - we will train you on the job

There is an opportunity to earn a sign-on perfect attendance bonus of $500 at 90 days. At that time, a 90 performance review will be given.
