Top Litigation Executive oversees all litigation related to an organization and ensures maximum protection of the organization's legal rights. Acts as a liaison between outside attorneys and in-house staff. Being a Top Litigation Executive directs cases through litigation cycle, reviews new files for coverage and liability issues, and develops a cost effective defense strategy. Consults with senior management to resolve issues and decide settlements. Additionally, Top Litigation Executive requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Top Litigation Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Top Litigation Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Our court reporting firm is actively seeking a part-time enthusiastic office assistant. Our team works in a fast-paced, yet casual and fun environment. We are seeking an employee who shows a positive attitude daily, has a strong work ethic, can work well with a team as well as independently, and is highly motivated and possesses the desire to learn.
Position hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (somewhat flexible)
Position pay is $18.00/hr.Responsibilities
Responsibilities and requirements are, but not limited to:
- General office duties and tasks
- Great professional communication skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to photocopy and bind per instruction
- Ability to sort, file and email
- Answer and manage phone calls
- Precise calendar entry
- Postage outgoing mail
- Quality control
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail-oriented is a MUST
- Must show initiative
- Positive attitude
- Ability to maintain professional relationships
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have to get up to speed quickly and therefore, we will only consider those who meet the criteria listed above.
