National Health Care Associates (NHCA), provider of high-quality long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services with 35 skilled nursing facilities and 5000 employees in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a Vice President of Managed Care for our corporate HQ in Valley Stream, NY.

Here are just some of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position:

Oversight of Managed Care relationships:

• Oversee managed care contracts in support of NHCA’s managed care initiatives and targets; stepping in to assist in contract negotiating process with payors as necessary.

• Financial modeling and tracking of new and existing regional payor contracts.

Oversight of internal Care Management department:

• Education and training of staff on best practices, managed care compliance, and documentation.

• Ensure reimbursement (levels, exclusions, etc.), billing and collections processes are optimized.

VBC (Value Based Care) leader:

• Collaborate with Marketing department to drive business development strategies for growth in new and existing markets for NHCA and ancillary companies' VBC programs.

EDUCATION and MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Masters’ degree preferred (MHA, MBA)

• 10 years of experience in contracting, case/care management, and profit and loss analysis

• Deep understanding of managed care models, population health management and healthcare reimbursement systems.
