A Day in the Life of a Maintenance Operations Manager
As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the FBO Maintenance and Avionics Department Operations. Keep flight school and scenic tour aircraft operational. Coordinate and supervise general aviation customer repairs and inspections. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to keep the fleet airworthy. Coordinates with the Avionics Manager to deconflict and assist with avionics upgrades and repairs as needed. Responsibilities include customer relations, repair estimation, billing, hiring, pay, health, and safety. Plans, directs and coordinates activities for sales and services. Reports to the General Manager on shop performance, including Profit and Loss review and budget responsibility. Manage and direct activities of subordinate supervisors and employees at the location. Promote a positive team environment to better serve the customers. Work with the Director of Flight Operations to keep the Civil Aircraft Airworthy and Operational.
