Ensures detailed planning and execution of show and evaluates show outcomes based on established metrics for quality and attendance. Additionally, Trade Show Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Trade Show Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. We are seeking an organized, self-motivated Trade Show & Conference Manager to join our Conferences and Events Management team. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to lead the planning, execution, and standardization of the Authority Brands live events collection with a focus on the activation of the sponsorship and exhibit program. Current trade shows range from foyer tabletop exhibits to the flagship 80,000 square foot Vendor Showcase held during the Authority Brands Convention. This position is based in Columbia, MD, remote candidates will not be considered.
    Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create sponsor and exhibit programs/prospectus content.
    • Lead research and present new sponsorship offerings, as well as evaluate current offerings, for marketability and bottom-line revenue maximization.
    • Create and maintain online sponsor and exhibitor sales system in Cvent.
    • Create and maintain online document management system in DocuSign.
    • Create sponsor and exhibitor activation plans, processes, and timelines across corporate and brand multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Collaborate with marketing and communications team to prepare related correspondence and informational/promotional materials.
    • Coordinate the contract creation and invoicing of sponsors and exhibitors.
    • Primary liaison with event general contractor responsible for trade shows.
    • Deliver exceptional client service experience to sponsor and exhibitor planning and onsite representatives, throughout the contracting, invoicing, registration and onsite execution phases.
    • Create and execute the Onsite Operational Plan, including Vendor Registration, Trade Show Floor Setup, Exhibitor Move-in/Move-out, and Security.
    • Lead post event sponsor and exhibitor evaluation and return on investment studies, including the collection of testimonials for future promotion.
    • Subject Matter Expert across Authority Brands in Cvent Event Management Platform
    • Assist on project related tasks as needed, working with multi-disciplinary teams throughout the brands.
    • Provide administrative staff support including preparing logistics, executing on-site operations, shipments, collecting invoices and preparing post-event reconciliation.
    Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of experience in conference and/or trade show management, experience in a corporate setting a plus
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
    • Ability to identify resources to complete projects, both internal and external
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Passion for enthusiastic customer service and demonstration of return on investment
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to travel to multiple events throughout the year, including occasional weekends
    • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with remote teams across many time zones
    • Survey Monkey and Docusign, experience a plus
    • Proficiency in Cvent Event Management and Attendee Hub
    • Certification in Cvent Event Management, Cvent Event Management Advanced and Cvent Attendee Hub, desired, but not required
    • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Exhibition Manager (CEM) or Certified Trade Show Marketer (CTSM), desired, but not required
