Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Dakota Traffic Services, LLC is a full-service traffic control, pavement marking, and signing company. We operate in much of South Dakota and also NW Iowa with offices in Tea, SD and Sioux City, Iowa. Our Traffic Control division specializes in providing safe work zones of all sizes, from simple street closures to large interstate projects and detours. We are looking for a Traffic Control Tech to join our team. This role rarely is required to spend overnight out of town for work. If this occurs, hotel and per diem will be paid.
