Selects appropriate delivery methods to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction. Being a Traffic Manager analyzes, handles, and reviews loss and damage claims caused by accidents. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Description
As a Senior Protector, this role will support and uphold AWP’s core values and mission to protect our
customers’ people, businesses, and time. Controls movement of vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic
through work zones using hand signals with a STOP / SLOW Paddle. Reviews, comprehends, and executes
temporary traffic control plans and / or standards to ensure work zones are properly installed and maintained.
Coordinates and communicates with customers to ensure the safety of all workers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, maintain, and remove Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control
devices according to Federal, State, and / or Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines and
Maintain a Flagger Station by standing and controlling road users through the use of hand signals
with a STOP / SLOW Paddle
Drive a company vehicle to transport equipment, trailers, and team members to and from work sites
safely and in a timely manner. May also pull lightweight trailered equipment
