Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care and a play-based model of applied behavior analysis (ABA) based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model.

We currently operate 8 clinics in the Denver metro area and have expanded to the Phoenix metro area this year.

The Behavior Analyst in Training role is designed for RBTs who are actively in their practicum to become a BCBA and who are approaching eligibility to sit for the BCBA exam. This role is intended to be one that a team member occupies for as true preparation to become a BCBA at Soar. The role will report to the Partner Clinician at the team member’s specific clinic.

This role is in-person in the Phoenix Metro Area, and qualified candidates will currently live in the area, or be willing to relocate to the area.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct direct client therapy (20-25 hours/week)

• Serve as a case supervisor for 3-4 client cases (15-20 hours/week)

• Updating goals and client programming

• Provide supervision to a team of RBTs implementing ESDM therapy

• Participate in ESDM specific trainings

• Meeting with families to conduct caregiver partnership meetings and support

• Conducting assessments for new clients and re-assessments for current clients, and writing the associated reports

• Receiving coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBA

• Being a part of the Soar integrated care team and participating in interdisciplinary meetings and collaboration

Who You Are:

• Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA

• Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam

• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to help effectively plan their time

• Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families as an RBT

• Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming and planning

• Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs to implement ESDM therapy

• Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback
