Training Center Manager jobs in South Dakota
Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Training Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assist the Direct Support Supervisor (DSS) in maintaining a structured work environment that benefits
both the employees and the individuals receiving services. Ensuring procedures are being followed, while also suggesting ideas for streamlining processes. Provide person-centered support to individuals. Provide training to onboarding employees.
Job duties include:
- Supporting people in becoming a part of their community.
- Implementing and teaching individual support programs.
- Identifying people’s training needs and preferences in collaboration with team members.
- Supporting people’s daily routine activities, such as appearance and hygiene.
- Supporting people’s medical services needs, such as medication administration and diet support.
- Supporting people to obtain personal outcomes.
- Provide on-the-job training for new employees and assist with other training needs.
- Assist with monitoring financial, transportation, medical, and service plans.
- Attend various meetings on regular bases and maintain communication with staff.
- Assist with ensuring appropriate staffing coverage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience preferred.
HOURS: 40 hrs per week, 1:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday
WAGE: $19.39 per hour & eligible for weekend premium pay
