Transportation Director directs, develops, and implements overall operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Develops and directs operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Director monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to forecast and meet capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Director oversees the acquisition and oversight of transportation providers. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Transportation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Transportation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. TriCare Medical Transportation is South Jersey’s premier medical transportation company. We are a large-scale 24/7 operation with over 300 employees and 130 vehicles, providing service from our headquarters in Pleasantville, NJ and two satellite locations in Vineland and Cherry Hill.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Mobility Assistance Vehicle (MAV) Driver, you will play a key role in the safe transport of our patients in non-emergency situations.
- Provide door-through-door transport to and from appointments in a safe and timely manner
- Assist patients in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift as needed
- Be courteous and professional to patients, facility employees, co-workers and the public at all times
- Utilize company iPhone for communication with Dispatch, directions and documentation
- Conduct regular safety checks and keep the vehicle clean throughout the shift
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Clean background check
- Negative drug screening
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- 21 years of age or older
- 3-4 years driving experience
- Ability to lift and assist patients
