Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily treasury operations. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Summary: Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to firms or individuals.

    Essential Functions: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Spreading financial statements using Credit Quest/Financial Analyzer program, identifying trend(s), and comparing results to industry averages
    • Analyze credit information and present to loan officers and Credit Officer
    • Assist in grading loans using the Bank’s risk rating system
    • Preparing financial analysis of watch list credits and completing quarterly action plans
    • Conduct annual review on aggregate credit relationships in excess of $500K
    • Identify and notate commercial loan policy exceptions
    • Assist in credit analysis training for management trainees, new loan officers, and banking center managers
    • Assist with preparation of cash flow and collateral analysis for commercial loans less than $500K and with aggregate credit relationships less than $500K
    • Serve as the Secretary or back–up Secretary for the Officers’ Lending Committee by taking minutes
    • Assist with the Executive and Officer’s Lending Committees loan packets preparation and distribution
    • Review commercial appraisals and complete real estate evaluations
    • Assist lenders with SBA applications and entering loans into the SBA’s on-line approval system

    Education: A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. A four-year degree in a business-related field is preferred. A minimum of one year of related work experience is required.

Treasury Analysts seem to be robots plugging in numbers to spreadsheets, but the Director of Billing basically is responsible for and involved in all accounting related to revenues – deferring unearned, accruing unbilled, dealing with auditors, analyzing to ensure accuracy, determining appropriate accruals for bad debt, some forecasting of future billing and/or cash flow, etc.
