Truck Driver - Heavy operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Heavy conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Heavy coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Heavy works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are looking for an experienced (at any level) heavy duty parts counter person to work the parts counter at a busy Mack / Volvo Truck Dealership. The applicant should be familiar with heavy duty truck parts and have at least 1 year of work experience behind the front counter. We are looking for a person with a great attitude and strong work ethics as well as energetic, out going and very personable. Applicants should have good communication skills and be able to work with phone customers as well as walk in customers. Applicants also need to be familiar with computers and programs such as email, internet, Google, Microsoft Word and Excel. Training on our dealer systems will be provided although ADP/CDK skills are preferred. Applicant's should be prepared to work with all makes, models and years of heavy duty trucks as well as some light duty vehicles as well. Other duties may include: front/rear counter parts sales, packing/shipping orders, parts ordering, receiving, stocking and other warehouse work. Competitive wages based on experience level.
