What You Will Be Doing:

As the Used Equipment Coordinator you will accurately and efficiently assist the Used Equipment team in managing Used Equipment inventory through the facilitation of inspections, service requests and maintenance of the inventory on Cat.Used.com website ensuring all information is current and complete. There will be administrative duties required to assist the Used Equipment Manager in preparing and reviewing monthly reports. This position requires a person to have extensive knowledge of Caterpillar machines and systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain GCI used equipment inventory spreadsheet       
• Manage used machine reservations for sales staff
• Manage CATUSED information on website       
• Review daily equipment receiving report 
• Submit request for machine inspection on used equipment, review inspections and provide directive for repair authorization, and update inspection to reflect post repair condition           
• Review and issue purchase order numbers for completed repairs 
• Coordinate outside vendor requests               
• Help create reports for Used Equipment Manager                               
• Track demo, loaner and rental units
• Other duties as assigned and qualified

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience in a sales role, developing relationships with customers and prospecting for used equipment. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 to 2 years dealer sales administration preferred.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and computer skills including MS Office
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience with Caterpillar or heavy equipment is a plus
