Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is looking for an In-Room Dining Order Taker (Temporary).

Responsibilities

• Accurately take guest orders by means of phone.
• Follow established phone courtesy standards and courtesy standards.
• Make knowledgeable, informed and articulate recommendations and suggestions regarding all menu items per the standard.
• Coordinate with housekeeping for pick-up of guest trays and tables after completion of guest meal.
• Direct guest to correct department if looking for other information or services.
• If guest calls to order amenities, cakes or flowers, fill out appropriate form and follow procedures by informing all departments involved. Log all orders and amenities outside of order form.
• Ensure that all tasks are maintained to The Carlyle level on a daily basis.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
• Participate in quality control activities.
• Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Models the company’s culture, vision and mission and core values at all times.
• All other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Possess complete knowledge of the hotel and PMS and POS system as it relates to amenities and guest preferences/notes
• Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Organize, follow up and be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems with good judgement
• Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
• Education: High school diploma

Experience

·         Minimum one year’s experience as a room service order taker, preferably for a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.

Compensation: $29.21 - $38.95
