The Utility Meter Installer requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Tests, adjusts, and repairs electrical meters. Being an Utility Meter Installer is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience. In addition, Utility Meter Installer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Read Meters, Inspect Gas Lines, Disconnect Service for Non-Payment and Collect past due bills via electronic payment.
Must pass a background check and DOT Drug Test, have a valid drivers license and an excellent driving record.
