Utility Meter Installer jobs in Saint Paul, MN

RMR Services, a local utility contractor, is currently looking for utility meter readers/outside gas meter inspectors for the Twin Cities metropolitan area and greater Minnesota. Technicians walk from house to house visually inspecting the utility meters located on the outside of houses and businesses. Meter readings and abnormal operating conditions are recorded using handheld computers or tablets.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy being outdoors; are self motivated; can work independently; have good map reading skills; possess good organizational skills, and can walk for long distances, over uneven terrain, in all weather conditions. Meter inspectors will cover 100 and 250 meters in an 8 hour day.

• $20.00 per hour to start
• This is a full-time position (40 hours/week)
• Monday-Friday (Daytime Hours), Some Saturdays are optional
• Some travel throughout greater Minnesota is required, including occasional overnight stays (typically 3-5 days per month)
• Paid Mileage
• Use of a company vehicle for travel outside the Twin Cities area is a possibility
• Must have a clean driving, criminal, and work history
• Passing a DOT-compliant drug test is a requirement
