The Video Editor mixes and masters audio. Edits video footage to desired length and format, creates motion graphics, and completes color corrections. Being a Video Editor archives and stores all files, footage, graphics, and audio. Encodes final videos to desired size and format. In addition, Video Editor proficient using Adobe Creative suite and production software including After Effects and Final Cut and other editing software. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Video Editor gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Sweet Tea Media newspaper group is seeking an Editor for the Seward County Newspaper Group including the Seward County Independent and The Milford Times newspapers. This position is responsible for coordinating local content for print, reporting, on-line, and visual elements. Ideal candidates will have a journalism degree with experience in the newspaper industry, are familiar with Mac computers, is a capable photographer and page design (Adobe products is a must) and have experience with managing people. In addition to the weekly responsibilities of putting out high-quality newspapers, the editor will work with staff members to continually improve existing products, services, procedures, etc.
