### Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems, including pumps, valves, and distributed control systems
- Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests to analyze water quality
- Adjust chemical dosages as necessary to maintain optimal treatment levels
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform preventive maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
- Monitor and record data on system performance, including flow rates, pH levels, and chemical usage
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance
- Assist in the construction and installation of new wastewater treatment infrastructure
### Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in wastewater treatment is preferred
- Previous experience working in a wastewater treatment facility or similar environment is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on test results
- Proficiency in operating distributed control systems (DCS) is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor environments as needed
