Water Quality Specialist

  • We are looking for our next Water Quality Specialist to join our team at Tualatin Valley Water District!

     

    The Position: 

    In this position, you’ll play a direct role in furthering key initiatives and critical infrastructure projects by engaging with many of our approximately 226,950 customers. As a Water Quality Specialist, you will use your expertise to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive District-wide Water Quality program that adheres to Federal, State and District requirements and regulations. Perform technical program work related to water quality sampling and inspections.     Our Water Resources Team Culture:

    The Water Resources Team is a dynamic, high-functioning group within TVWD’s Engineering and Operations Department. We work collaboratively with each other and with teams from across TVWD, WWSP, and our regional partners. The Water Resources Team oversees various water quality monitoring programs, protects our community through innovative backflow prevention programs, and guides near-term and long-term planning related to water rights and supply management. We prioritize daily communications as a team, value being leaders in our respective fields, and above all else, like to have fun while were doing it!

    We’re looking for someone with the following experience, skills, and traits to join our team:

    • A fundamental understanding of drinking water quality monitoring and water system operations. 
    • Skilled in field data collection, quality control, and end user data management. 
    • The desire to be in the field during any type of weather while visiting locations across the region.
    • Ability to effectively communicate detailed water quality information to a variety of audiences, including partners, staff, and customers.

    Compensation/Benefits:

    The salary range for this position is $67,780.40-$101,816.00 per year depending on experience.

    Recruitment Process:
