Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. Typically has the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. typically requires 7+ years of related experience.     Franklin Templeton is dedicated to delivering premier value-added content and services in a consultative approach to our financial advisors and their firms. The Wealth Management Specialist will provide valuable solutions and content to advisors on topics related to the client or prospective client on all aspects of financial planning including:

    • Planning for retirement
    • Retirement topics such as Social Security and Medicare
    • Tax planning strategies
    • Estate planning and wealth transfer
    • Education funding

    The Senior Wealth Management Specialist will partner with our sales team and primarily engage with clients via conference calls, webinars, and in-person meetings where appropriate. Travel is expected depending on the type of client engagement.

    What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Wealth Management Specialist?

    • Host events (calls, webinars and in-person meetings) with financial advisors across the country in conjunction with the sales team to educate on wealth planning content
    • Work closely with Franklin Templeton's Director of Wealth Planning to stay current on content and relevant industry and regulatory developments
    • Work closely with other Specialists on the team to improve processes and content development
    • Participate in content development to be used by firms, financial advisors, and shareholder clients
    • Assist in training new regional associates and consultants

    What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

    • CFP required
    • FINRA SIE, 7 and 63 Licenses
    • 5 years of industry experience
    • BA or BS degree required. Candidates may have a broad array of majors
    • Successful candidates will be highly motivated, possess critical reasoning abilities, a results-oriented drive and ability to articulate convincingly
    • Superior communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and to effectively convey Franklin Templeton's value proposition
    • Team player; maintains a consistent positive outlook and leads by example
    • Proven strong work ethic and desire to win
    • Ability to travel frequently - 25% - 50%

    Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards-monetary and non-monetary-designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation.We expect the salary for this position to range between $85,000 - $110,000.
