Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of employees. Being a Wellness Program Administrator creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Wellness Program Administrator typically reports to a supervisor. Freedom Behavioral of Ville Platte is a 12-bed inpatient senior adult unit and distinct part unit (DPU) of Mercy Regional Medical Center. We are currently accepting resumes for consideration for our Program Administrator position in Ville Platte, LA.
This full-time, exempt position will report to the hospital CEO and provide overall leadership and oversee operations for the DPU.
He/She will ensure compliance with patient care quality standards and all state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols for each department, while assisting with the development of the annual operating budgets for the unit; oversees the development of policies and procedures; provides facilities management and oversight of the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of the unit to ensure operative and safe working conditions; reviews human resources needs with unit department managers. The Program Administrator oversees and is responsible for the development and evaluation of performance of each of the units department and improvement activities of the Quality Program.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor’s in management / related Healthcare Degree or Registered Nurse / Clinical Social Worker with at least 3 years of leadership experience
minimum with management preferred.
License: Not required.
Experience: 3-years minimum in healthcare with preferred experience in mental health setting.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2-3 years in a hospital/healthcare setting, serving senior adults with psychiatric issues.
