Wellness Program Administrator assists in the administration of wellness programs and activities designed to improve employee health and wellbeing. Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of employees. Being a Wellness Program Administrator creates employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screening programs. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Wellness Program Administrator typically reports to a supervisor. The Wellness Program Administrator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • The Community Wellness Sponsored Programs Director, within the Department of Wellness, serves as the Principle Investigator (PI) for community health program grants and contracts, a unit with numerous (approximately 15) state and federal grants/contracts, operating in various service areas across the state. Responsible for the daily administration of programs, staff, part-time student employees, and an annual budget in excess of approximately $2 million. This person serves as a liaison and sustains positive relationships between sponsors/funders and Oklahoma State University.

    The position is responsible for directing and supervising personnel; researching, acquiring, and maintaining extraordinary funding/grant opportunities; collaborates with IRB office as needed. The position provides authoritative advice and counsel to personnel regarding the budget; grant/contractual deliverables; university, state, and federal policies and procedures to maintain compliance with OSU Grants and Contracts Financial Administration (GCFA), University Research Services, and the DOW Senior Manager of Business Operations. The Director cultivates collaborative relationships throughout the OSU system when feasible and mutually beneficial.

    Travel schedule necessitates working prior to 8:00 a.m. and later than 5:00 p.m. Frequent in-state and out-of-state travel is required.

    Position Qualifications:


    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Education or related field.

    Seven years of related experience working with federal, state, and private systems, including government, advocacy, university, service providers, etc.; including three years of supervisory responsibilities.

    Effective oral and written communications skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Education or related field.

    Ten years of related experience working with federal, state, and private systems, including government, advocacy, university, service providers, etc.; including three years of supervisory responsibilities.

    Extensive knowledge of the field of OSU Accounting and Grants and Contracts (sponsored programs). Demonstrated skills in administration, coordination and management.
