Job Description:
The Fitness Director (FDIT) is a club level position that reports directly to ECA’s District Fitness Director. He/she is responsible for leading the Coaching Department with excellence to the overall product and experience of our Champions Training Membership program (group training) and Accelerated Results program (personal training).
The FDIT is responsible for learning how to leading the Coaching department by recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a team of coaches to accomplish the club’s service and production objectives with respect to the CT and 1-on-1 PT programs.

To achieve success as a Fitness Director in Training, an individual should have a passion for exercise, fitness, and health, and be able to create and lead a vision within a team that will help in achieving ECA’s objectives.
He/she should be able to present themself as a role model and provide excellent Coaching and Sales skills. (Must have)
He/she should have the ability to hold coaches to account through clear expectation and goal setting, praising, and reprimanding whenever needed with consistency.
He/she should keep himself updated with the current developments in the fitness industry and should be able to implement programs for improving the product and experience of ECA
members and clients.
He/she should possess excellent communication skills and should have great problem-solving abilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain established organizational policies, protocols, and standards with Champions Training and 1-on-1 PT programs
- Attend and participate in management meetings
- Recruit, hire, train & develop a team of coaches for group (CT) and 1-on-1
- Develops and manages action plans to reach overall club goals
- Trains and Develops Coaches on protocols including leading weekly coach meetings and be a day-to-day operations resource for all Coaches
- Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of value-add CT seminars
- Lead the creation, implementation, and execution of CT event(s)
- Develop Coaches to grow PT revenue and to assist members in reaching fitness goals
- Take lead at club level to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and maintenance of CT facilities.
- Be aware of how and where special programs and promotions communicated from management affect the Coaching department and deploy buy-in, additional training, and inspiration where necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
