The Clinical Oncology Treatment Center Director is responsible for developing new programs, outreach activities, and research opportunities. Directs and oversees all activities of the hospital's cancer center. Being a Clinical Oncology Treatment Center Director serves as liaison with all professional, administrative and support staff. Implements and maintains hospital practices, procedures and objectives. In addition, Clinical Oncology Treatment Center Director creates reports on operation's activities for hospital administration to review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Clinical Oncology Treatment Center Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
