Supports the computer-aided engineering (CAE) design engineering process for products, components, or structures. Being a Computer-Aided Engineering Technician I collects, validates, and prepares data required for CAE processes. Checks and verifies layouts and results of analysis for accuracy and adherence to standards. In addition, Computer-Aided Engineering Technician I typically requires an associate degree in engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Computer-Aided Engineering Technician I works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
