Being a Cost Engineer and Estimator I updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. In addition, Cost Engineer and Estimator I requires interface with project management, engineering, and procurement departments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Cost Engineer and Estimator I works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.
