Job Description

The Environmental Programs and Projects Manager develops and plans policies and procedures related to air, water, and land systems in accordance with organization and government rules and regulations. Oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action if necessary. Being an Environmental Programs and Projects Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution. In addition, Environmental Programs and Projects Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Environmental Programs and Projects Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
