Responsible for all aspects of the ambulatory services function, which may include urgent care, surgical care, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and primary/outpatient care. Being a Head of Ambulatory Services plans strategies and objectives for the ambulatory services program. Maintains working relationships with community agencies. In addition, Head of Ambulatory Services requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Head of Ambulatory Services manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Working as a Head of Ambulatory Services typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.
