The Instrumentation/Calibration Supervisor oversees and performs routine inspection and testing to ensure conformance to established calibration standards. Supervises the calibration, maintenance and repairs of equipment or instruments used to measure and monitor properties or conditions of manufacturing products and environments. Being an Instrumentation/Calibration Supervisor understands industry and quality concepts and standards such as ISO, GMP, NIST. Trains staff on new equipment calibration and best calibration practices, and researches and troubleshoots complex problems. In addition, Instrumentation/Calibration Supervisor typically requires an associate degree and graduation from a technical or trade school. May require Certified Calibration Technician (CCT). May require Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). Typically reports to a manager. The Instrumentation/Calibration Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs.
