Job Description

The Licensed Architect, Manager reviews and approves architectural procedures and techniques used to complete projects. Manages a team responsible for architectural projects. Being a Licensed Architect, Manager ensures architectural designs are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards. Has a diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices, uses advanced techniques, and has responsibility for final specifications, approval of ordered materials, and overall guidance on objectives and concepts. In addition, Licensed Architect, Manager trains the team in new architectural methods or techniques. Approves project schedules, bids, and/or proposals. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture. Requires a State Architect's License. Typically reports to a director. The Licensed Architect, Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Licensed Architect, Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
