The Manager of Total Rewards manages common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, and associated analysis. Leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Being a Manager of Total Rewards ensures that compensation and benefits programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy. Manages common benefits functions, including life, health, and disability insurance, retirement benefits and paid time off. In addition, Manager of Total Rewards may also manage profit-sharing and performance management programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department. The Manager of Total Rewards manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Manager of Total Rewards typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
