Job Description

The Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Scheduling Manager ensures an effective system for processing and tracking work orders is in place. Manages and designs plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Being a Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Scheduling Manager communicates with technicians, engineers, operations, and other managers to ensure stakeholders are satisfied with maintenance planning. Oversees inspection and survey procedures to create an effective preventative maintenance system. In addition, Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Scheduling Manager creates planning and scheduling procedures to establish the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Also responsible for oversight of spare parts management, budget monitoring, and reporting. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a director or head of unit/department. The Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Scheduling Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Manufacturing Plant Maintenance Scheduling Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
