The Market and Competitive Intelligence Director directs and oversees an organization's marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for the market research department. Being a Market and Competitive Intelligence Director analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Manages a team to review changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing plan accordingly. In addition, Market and Competitive Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to top management. The Market and Competitive Intelligence Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
