Job Description

The Materials Management and Control Manager uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Being a Materials Management and Control Manager monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. In addition, Materials Management and Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Management and Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Materials Management and Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
