Job Description

The Mechanic Technician, Entry performs skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. Maintains and services mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Being a Mechanic Technician, Entry identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary. Conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair. In addition, Mechanic Technician, Entry completes all work in accordance with established safety procedures. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Mechanic Technician, Entry possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
