The Network Risk and Security Senior Manager oversees network security assessments and risk analysis, and makes and evaluates recommendations to improve network security. Manages an organization's network security department. Being a Network Risk and Security Senior Manager stays abreast of the latest network security trends and technology and creates initiatives to incorporate new security products and solutions in network platforms. Manages departmental responses to security incidents and breaches, and ensures policies and procedures are in place to handle incidents quickly and effectively. In addition, Network Risk and Security Senior Manager establishes training procedures for network security analysts on relevant networks, tools, policies, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Risk and Security Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as a Network Risk and Security Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
