Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Physician monitors quality control of radionuclide preparation, administration and disposition, and ensures that all activities comply with the standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat disease. Being a Nuclear Medicine Physician requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. Instructs and directs nuclear medicine technologists regarding desired dosages, techniques, positions, and projections. In addition, Nuclear Medicine Physician may report to a medical director.
