Assists with developing and designing health education programs meant to increase community awareness and knowledge. Being a Patient/Health Educator assists with health education outreach and consultation. Presents, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. In addition, Patient/Health Educator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Being a Patient/Health Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
