The Residency Program Administrator coordinates and facilitates the activities of the physician residents and provides the resources necessary to fulfill curriculum requirements. Oversees the administration and scheduling of the physician residency program of a healthcare organization. Being a Residency Program Administrator supports the recruitment and selection process of resident physicians. Ensures physician activities comply with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or other applicable regulations. In addition, Residency Program Administrator administers and maintains a system or database to manage schedules and physician performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Residency Program Administrator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
