The Senior Rebar Ironworker may cut, bend, and/or weld steel construction materials. Installs reinforcing steel bars, cables, or wire in order to support concrete structures. Being a Senior Rebar Ironworker requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints and instructions. In addition, Senior Rebar Ironworker may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires. Relies on limited experience to plan and accomplish goals. Typically reports to a supervisor or a manager. Working as a Senior Rebar Ironworker typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill.
