Job Description

The Technical Product & Services Sales Manager sets sales targets. Manages a team of sales representatives that sell technical services, products, and systems. Being a Technical Product & Services Sales Manager ensures that the team delivers compelling technical presentations that drive sales. Develops comprehensive sales plans and forecasts to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. In addition, Technical Product & Services Sales Manager utilizes deep technical acumen to educate the team on products, competitors, and prospects. Manages contract negotiations. Nurtures relationships with key customers. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the product roadmap. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Technical Product & Services Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Technical Product & Services Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
