Leads the defense of the division in lawsuits and the prosecution of lawsuits on behalf of the division against others. Uses broad range of legal expertise and current knowledge to advise management on any regulatory changes or actions that may impact the business. Oversees the preparation of filings, applications, registrations and other legal documents. Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
