Being an IT Procurement Manager defines clear and specific requirements for equipment and services. Researches suppliers and directs the sourcing process. Additionally, IT Procurement Manager negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Procurement Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
