Designs, develops, and implements quality control procedures for the laboratory. Being a Laboratory Quality Control Manager oversees the routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results. Researches recommendations and new technologies or equipment to improve quality standards. Additionally, Laboratory Quality Control Manager validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Quality Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
