Designs, develops, and implements quality control procedures for the laboratory. Being a Laboratory Quality Control Senior Manager oversees the routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results. Researches recommendations and new technologies or equipment to improve quality standards. Additionally, Laboratory Quality Control Senior Manager validates and verifies methods and identifies issues that may affect the accuracy and integrity of test results. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Quality Control Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
