Physician - Anesthesiology examines patient to determine type of anesthetic needed and communicates findings to appropriate medical practitioner. Administers local, intravenous, or spinal anesthetic, records type and amount of anesthesia, and determines condition of patient before, during, and after sedation. Being a Physician - Anesthesiology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice.
