Job Description for Production Painter III

Production Painter III operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter III completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter III may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter III has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. To be a Production Painter III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
