Responsibilities include monitoring pressure and flow and reading gauges and adjusting valves as needed. Being a Refinery Operator I requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty in the field. Additionally, Refinery Operator I typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
