  Responsible for an organization's tax policies and objectives. Directs and leads a team responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, statements, and other reports at required intervals. Monitors reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes. Ensures accuracy of tax returns and works to minimize the organization's tax obligations. Monitors changes in federal, state, and local tax legislation and updates policies and procedures as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline.
